Our Gracious Queen By: Queen Of The May

Eleanor spent the first few days of her marriage in almost constant motion.

Considering her days were consumed with going through each room of the palace, sizing up the amount of work required to clean and modernize, and how her nights were taken up by vigorous sex with the king, she was surprised by how energetic she felt when she got up each morning. She had goals, and great resolve to achieve them all, and her natural drive to succeed kept her from ever becoming overtired. As it were, she had no time for homesickness. There was no time for crying or regret—there was so much work to do.

The only annoyance in her life were her ladies—particularly Lady Harriet—who reminded her regularly that her first goal was produce an heir to the throne, regardless of how clean the palace was. But that took nine months, and in the meantime she wanted to see to it that any child she bore would be living in a clean, comfortable and cheerful home……

Untangling The Web By: Swati Joshi

NefretitiM: Today on Literary Links we have Swati Joshi author of Untangling The Web Developing A Blueprint For Digital Marketing.   Thank you for joining us.  What inspired you to write this book?

Swati Joshi: I learn digital marketing from all over the internet and through colleagues. I couldn’t find one single resource that would help those who would like to get an overview of digital marketing techniques, to be able to apply them to their business. That’s why I wrote this book.

NefretitiM: How did you come up with the title?

Swati Joshi: I realize that many people think of the whole digital marketing world as a black box. They don’t really understand it – its complex and it keeps changing. So the idea behind the title was to demystify digital marketing for those people. Untangling the Web helps to simplify the web.

NefretitiM: What genre does this book to fit into?

Swati Joshi: This book falls under Business books – more specifically under Marketing for Small businesses.

NefretitiM: What influenced your interest in writing?

Swati Joshi: I work with many businesses in my company Influenshine, and felt that people needed help in understanding what digital marketing was all about.

NefretitiM: What is the writing process like for you?

Swati Joshi: I love writing, so it wasn’t as ominous for me! I tried to write for 1-2 hours everyday, and succeeded on most days. I tried to get the first draft ready as fats as I could instead of going back and editing my work. I believe that is the reason I could finish this book, or else I would have forever kept editing my book!

NefretitiM: What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Swati Joshi: When I am not writing, I love to create campaigns and strategies for my clients! I also like spending time with my husband and 1 year old girl.

NefretitiM: What tips or words of encouragement do you have for other writers?

Swati Joshi: My advice to other writers is to take the plunge instead of waiting for the right time. The first few thousand words are the most difficult. But once you reach that stage, you build momentum, the book starts taking shape, and that is a big motivation to continue writing the book and finish it!

NefretitiM: I’d say that’s pretty good advice.  Thank you again for joining us.  Get your copy of Untangling The Web @ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LB07VCM

The Cursed Princess By: Chrissy White

NefretitiM: Tonight on Literary Links we have Chrissy White; author of The Cursed Princess (Book 1 of the Eumetadotos Series).  Thank You for joining us tonight.  What inspired you to write this book?

Chrissy White: I had a dream one night about 2 ½ years ago, and I thought that it would make a good story.  However, there was a lot of background questions that I didn’t have answers to, so I scrapped that book for a while.  About 6 months later, I had another dream.  This one was a pivotal scene in The Cursed Princess.  I started thinking that this could be the epilogue to the book I was previously writing, but my characters had another idea, and kind of took over.  I started writing and it just went from there.  So, the original story is going to be a big part of book two.

NefretitiM: How did you come up with the title?

Chrissy White: Originally, I was just going to call it Eumetadotos, which is the subtitle.  But, I just thought that it needed something more.  When we meet Arianna, the main character, she is still a princess.  She’s facing a couple of curses, and it just popped into my head one day, and I liked it, so I went with that

NefretitiM: Cool.  What genre does this book to fit into?

Chrissy White: Young Adult Fantasy.  I’ve been told by a few people that it’s kind of a Harry Potter meets Lord of the Rings with a fairy tale influence thrown in.

NefretitiM: What influenced your interest in writing?

Chrissy White: I have always loved to write.  As far back as I can remember, I’ve taken in interest in telling stories and entertaining people.  Now, I have 2 daughters of my own.  My older daughter loves it when I make up stories to tell her.  My younger daughter is only 2, so she’s no that interested just yet.

NefretitiM: What is the writing process like for you?

Chrissy White: Writing is one of the ways that I relax.  I know a lot of writers sit down and outline where their story is going to go.  I can’t do that.  I’ve tried, but my characters tend to take over and all of my plans go out the window.  I’ve begun to realize that it’s not my story that I’m telling, it’s their story, so I just have learned to go with it.

NefretitiM: What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Chrissy White: I have quite a few hobbies.  I work part time and I volunteer at my daughter’s school a lot.  I love to read.  I also love arts & crafts.  I’m my daughter’s Girl Scout leader as well.  I love to shop, when my bank account allows.  I like to go to the movies, a lot of the time, I wind up going by myself, which I love because I get some quality “me” time.  I like to keep busy, so I’m always out and about.

NefretitiM: What tips or words of encouragement do you have for other writers?

Chrissy White: Never give up on your dreams.  It doesn’t matter if it takes you a day, a month, a year or even a decade, but just keep going.

NefretitiM: Excellent advice! Get your copy of The Cursed Princess of one of the following locations below.  Much success to you Ms. White.
